Alstom's Automated Innovia APM train joins the Bukit Panjang LRT in Singapore in revenue service

The Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit (BPLRT) line has seen the deployment of its first two trains, according to Alstom.
On July 16, 2024, the system was turned over to Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA), initiating the turnkey system's gradual delivery.
The contract to update and refresh the BPLRT system was given to Alstom in 2018.
A comprehensive signaling system overhaul was included in the deal.
