On April 16th, the Indian Railways commemorated its 171st anniversary.
Indian Railways is one of the busiest railway networks globally, transporting millions of passengers and tons of freight every day. Indian Railways is the fourth-largest railway network in the world by size, spanning over 67,000 kilometers (41,580 miles) of track and connecting thousands of towns and cities across the country.
The first train in India ran from Mumbai (then Bombay) to Thane on April 16, 1853. This historic journey covered a distance of 34 kilometers (21 miles) and marked the beginning of the Indian railway system. The locomotive used for this journey was named "Three B". The train was a significant milestone in India's transportation history and laid the foundation for the extensive railway network that exists in the country today.

The final cost is approximately RM10.5 billion.
According to Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, the Penang LRT Mutiara Line project has completed all required procedures, and its cost can only be assessed once proposals and terms have been finalized.
Although there may be some inconveniences during the construction phase, the finished project will benefit the state in the long run in a number of ways.
