Order for Track Installation and Integrated Railway System Delivery to Sojitz Received as Part of the Jakarta MRT North-South Line Extension Project

As part of an extension project on the North-South Line of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit ("Jakarta MRT") subway system in Jakarta, Indonesia, Sojitz Corporation ("Sojitz") as reached an agreement with PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta ("PT MRT Jakarta") for the installation of tracks and delivery of an integrated railway system.
On April 17, 2024, the around JPY 45 billion contract was finalized.
The expansion project being carried out by PT MRT Jakarta would add approximately 5.8 kilometers of track to link Bundaran HI Station to Kota Station in the heart of Jakarta.
Sojitz will carry out the engineering, procurement, and installation of power distribution, signaling, and communications systems in addition to platform screen doors, overhead contact systems, and trackwork.

Orange and Pink Lines of Lusail Tram are Open to Public

Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has started the services on the full Orange Line and Pink Line of the Lusail Tram to the public starting today. All stations on the Orange Line are now fully operational with the opening of the new stations, including Naifa, Fox Hills - South, Downtown Lusail, Al Khayl Street, Fox Hills - North, Crescent Park - North, Rawdat Lusail, Erkiyah, Lusail Stadium, and Al Yasmeen.
The current service expansion also includes the opening of all Pink Line stations, starting from Legtaifiya and reaching Seef Lusail North, excluding Al Sa'ad Plaza station, which will be announced to be operational at a later time.
The newly opened stations will give direct access to several key attractions in Lusail city including Al Seef area, Crescent Park, the Lusail Boulevard and Al Maha Island.
This expansion further supports the public transportation system in Lusail City, providing safe and sustainable transportation services.

Before the Levenmouth rail link opens, the community is encouraged to drop-in events

Before the Levenmouth rail link opens, Network Rail is asking the public to three community drop-in sessions.
Co-hosted by ScotRail, the sessions will offer information on how to use the new Cameron Bridge and Leven stations, as well as purchase tickets and make accommodations for accessibility.
In addition, members of the railway staff will talk about issues like riding a bike and what happens when services are disrupted. They will also share easy safety tips for using the train and passing through stations.
