21 November 2022 (Bussnang, Switzerland)
Stadler and Transports Publics de la Région Lausanne have agreed to supply 10 TRAMLINK trams, together with all necessary spare parts and specialised tools.
The vehicles will be driven along Lausanne's new tramway route.
A deal was struck by Stadler and the Swiss operator Transports publics de la région lausannoise (tl) for the supply of 10 new TRAMLINK trams to be used on the brand-new tram line between Lausanne and Renens.
The provision of spare parts and specialised tools is also covered by the contract.
Six tramway operators in Switzerland have already decided to use Stadler's TRAMLINK.
They have been functioning in Lugano since last year and will shortly begin doing so in Basel, Bern, and the canton of Aargau.
The actual axle bogie that distinguishes the cutting-edge, high-capacity, low-floor multi-articulated trams ensures a quiet, comfortable ride and maximum seating capacity across the bogies.
It will be Switzerland's first standard gauge TRAMLINK.
