A 23-year Operations & Maintenance contract for regional rail passenger transit in Toronto and the surrounding province of Ontario was granted to DB International Operations

The regional rail passenger transport contract for Toronto and the surrounding province of Ontario has been successfully closed,
according to Deutsche Bahn International Operations (DB IO), an internationally engaged part of the DB E.C.O. Group.
With a contract commitment over the next 23 years, this significant accomplishment confirms DB IO and its partner Aecon Group Inc.'s status as Metrolinx's official O&M contractor.
The O&M team at ONxpress Transportation Partners, DB IO and Aecon Group Inc. as ONxpress Operations Inc.,
will collaborate closely with Metrolinx and, starting on January 1, 2025, will smoothly take over operations from the current operator with no negative effects on service.
