A framework agreement is signed by Siemens Mobility and ELL to buy 200 Vectrons

Siemens Mobility and the Vienna and Munich-based European Locomotive Leasing Group (ELL) have inked a framework agreement for the delivery of up to 200 more Vectron locomotives.
The locomotives will be available for use in both passenger and freight services with different power system variations.
Initially, sixty locomotives were ordered, and starting in 2025, they will be delivered one after the other.
With at least 301 Siemens Vectron locomotives in operation by 2027, ELL will run the largest Vectron fleet in Europe.

The HCS project will replace and significantly upgrade the signalling and train control systems on Perth's rail network. This will allow more trains to run more frequently, ultimately increasing capacity by 40 percent. The HCS control technology will be housed in the new state-of-the-art Public Transport Operations Control Centre (PTOCC) in East Perth. This facility will serve as a central hub to ensure smooth and safe public transport operations, including incident management.
