Alstom will provide new, highly capacitating trains to DB Regio

DB Regio AG is receiving eighteen contemporary Coradia Max electric multiple-unit trains from Alstom.
The order consists of nine three-car and nine five-car trains that will begin service on the well-liked regional express line RE1 in the Baltic Sea-Alster sub-network (OSTA) between Hamburg and Rostock at the timetable change in December 2027.
The trains will operate as far as Lübeck after the line between Bad Kleinen and Lübeck is electrified and a connecting curve is built.
