Amtrak Announces the New Baltimore Platform's Completion

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 29, 2024, Amtrak employees and stakeholders were joined by state, local, and federal officials to formally inaugurate a newly constructed boarding platform at Baltimore Penn Station.
This spring, trains are expected to start using the new platform.
This project is part of Amtrak's $150 million overhaul of Baltimore Penn Station, which aims to increase passenger rail and enhance the visitor experience.

The HCS project will replace and significantly upgrade the signalling and train control systems on Perth's rail network. The HCS control technology will be housed in the new state-of-the-art Public Transport Operations Control Centre (PTOCC) in East Perth. This facility will serve as a central hub to ensure smooth and safe public transport operations, including incident management.
