An agreement was concluded by Stadler and GYSEV regarding the delivery of next-generation intercity EMUs.

27 March 2024 (Sopron, Hungary)

GYSEV Zrt. and Stadler have inked contract for the supply of 9+4 intercity EMUs.

Beginning in 2027, the operator railway company intends to operate the cars on the lines Sopron-Budapest and Szombathely-Budapest.

The new multisystem trains will be authorized to run in Austria in addition to Hungary.

At Stadler's carbodies center of excellence in Szolnok, Hungarian experts will fabricate the aluminum bodyshells for the five-car trainsets.
