As 'SPACIA X' trains for Tobu Railway begin service, Hitachi Rail celebrates

Hitachi Rail's new Series N100, also known as "SPACIA X," was put into service by Tobu Railway Co., Ltd.
The SPACIA X will almost entirely replace the electricity used for operations with electricity from renewable sources,
almost eliminating all CO2 emissions, compared to the present SPACIA, which will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 40%.
By adding the letter 'X' to the Limited Express SPACIA, which has long been cherished by passengers as a stand-in for transit to the Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen regions of Japan, the new train's moniker depicts the evolution of the Limited Express SPACIA.
