Australia: First Armadale Line elevated station construction is underway

Joint media release: construction is underway on the first elevated station on the Armadale Line
An important milestone for the project is currently being reached with the construction of the first elevated train station as part of a substantial overhaul of the Armadale Line.
Carlisle is the first elevated station to start construction. As part of the renovations, seven new stations will be created.
In order to facilitate the start of the Carlisle Station construction, more than 150 metres of elevated rail have been built in recent weeks.

The HCS project will replace and significantly upgrade the signalling and train control systems on Perth's rail network. This will allow more trains to run more frequently, ultimately increasing capacity by 40 percent. The HCS control technology will be housed in the new state-of-the-art Public Transport Operations Control Centre (PTOCC) in East Perth. This facility will serve as a central hub to ensure smooth and safe public transport operations, including incident management.
