Bengaluru will benefit from connected and effective green mobility thanks to Alstom's automated CBTC technology

12 Jun 2024 (India)

For the future Bengaluru Metro Phase 2, Reach 6, 2A and 2B, Alstom has been given the contract to design, produce, deliver, install, test, and commission fully automated Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) signaling system.

The 96.2 million euro deal with Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) covers annual maintenance and staff training for period of five years.

By establishing connection between the Kempegowda International Airport (2B) and the crucial intersection at Silk Board on the Outer Ring Road (2A) via KR Puram, this project seeks to serve the three main routes that serve the Bengaluru metropolitan area.
