CrossCountry and West Midlands Trains (WMT) have inked a new long-term maintenance agreement to keep the Class 170 fleet of the long-distance operator maintained at WMT's Tyseley depot in Birmingham.
The agreement, which went into effect last month, preserves jobs in the area until 2031 and upholds the two train operating businesses' collaboration.
From Cardiff and Gloucester in the west, via Birmingham to Derby, Leicester, and Nottingham in the East Midlands, and then on to Peterborough, Cambridge, and Stansted Airport in the east, the Class 170 fleet connects these locations.
