Nearly $200M in Federal Grants Awarded to Amtrak

The Federal Railroad Administration's Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) competitive grant programme has awarded Amtrak and partners almost $200 million.
Four projects will be supported by this money in the Gulf Coast states and the Northeast Corridor, which passes through eight states and the District of Columbia.
Delivering on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act's (IIJA) objective for enlarged and improved passenger rail requires these new CRISI grant awards, which represent a significant milestone.
