Stadler and Knorr-Bremse finalize a long-term maintenance agreement for European railroads

With the possibility to extend, Knorr-Bremse and Stadler have agreed on a long-term contract that will cover a significant number of trains and railcars across several European nations through the end of 2028.
For the trains' braking systems, Knorr-Bremse is in charge of complete maintenance, repairs, and the provision of replacement parts.
Train fleets using Knorr-Bremse RailServices' solutions operate more effectively, dependably, and for longer periods of time.

Cairo Metro Line 3 began passenger trial operation on May 15

The High-Capacity Signalling (HCS) project aims to replace and significantly upgrade the signalling and train control systems on Perth's passenger rail network, enabling more frequent train services. The federal budget has allocated significant funds for various infrastructure projects across Australia, including Perth's capacity signalling program. This also includes $1.9 billion for road and rail infrastructure in Western Sydney, aimed at improving transportation in the region. Queensland will see $177 million invested in bridge and intersection upgrades along the Warrego Highway, while Tasmania will receive $80 million to upgrade the Lyell Highway between Granton and New Norfolk. South Australia's Princes Highway will benefit from $120 million for interchange upgrades at Mount Barker and Verdun. Stage 2B of the Canberra Light Rail is set to receive planning funding of $50 million, and Victoria will receive $12 million for the Bridgewater Road and Portland Ring Road intersection upgrade.
