Stadler to deliver new light rail vehicles for Salt Lake City
23 October 2024 (Salt Lake City)
Stadler and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) signed a contract on October 23, 2024, for the delivery of up to 80 customized light rail vehicles for UTA’s TRAX service serving the Salt Lake City area.
Stadler will manufacture the vehicles at its Salt Lake City facility, producing them locally in Utah, specifically for Utah.
This marks Stadler’s first major light rail contract in North America and its first large-scale production contract in its U.S. home state of Utah.
