A contract to upgrade the BLS train lines has been signed by Thales and BLS, a significant Swiss railway firm.
For the next ten years, Thales has been given a frame contract to provide electronic interlockings with optical signalling to the Swiss railway company BLS.
Thales will offer an advanced and dependable solution that leverages current operational procedures and processes to guarantee great efficiency.
One of the biggest transport firms in Switzerland, BLS runs trains from Bern to Payerne and from Lucerne to Bern on the Bern and Central Switzerland S-Bahn networks (Langenthal).

New locomotives unveiled for the South Island
31 October 2024 (Christchurch, New Zealand) KiwiRail has unveiled the first of its new high-tech locomotives in Christchurch.
