The LIRR's Cannonball train is back in service for the summer

The fast train to Montauk and the Hamptons has returned.
On Friday, May 26, the Cannonball of the Long Island Rail Road will return for the year.
Express service leaves Penn Station at 4:07 p.m. and travels to Westhampton, Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, and Montauk after that.
Through the long weekend of Labour Day, the train will run every Friday.
For individuals who are taking a vacation for the Fourth of July, it will also run on Monday, July 3.
