The Sydney Metro City & Southwest line is now undergoing a rigorous testing and commissioning programme

Prior to the inauguration of services through the CBD in 2024, on-track testing is now taking place along the 15.5-kilometer twin metro railway lines from Chatswood to Sydenham.
Testing of the Platform Screen Door interface has been finished at all seven of the new city stations. Rolling stock engineers examine if there is a predetermined gap between each platform screen door and each train door during this test.
As long as Sydney Metro complies with this criterion, passengers will receive safe, fully accessible services with level access between platforms and trains at all stations.
The effectiveness of the doors under operating circumstances will be confirmed by additional testing.
