To Create the Indigenous Communication-Based Train Control (i-CBTC) System, DMRC and BEL Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to build an indigenous Communication Based Train Control system (i-CBTC).
By working together, DMRC and BEL hope to advance innovation, cut costs, and promote self-reliance in the area of train control signalling systems, ushering in a new era of rail transport in India.
This innovative collaboration supports the 'Make in India' project, which is supported by the Indian government's Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
The Delhi Metro has advanced significantly as a result of the i-CBTC project.
DMRC seeks to improve passenger services while effectively using rail infrastructure by implementing this state-of-the-art Communication-Based Train Control System (CBTC), which is widely used by top metros globally.
