Transport for London will advance energy efficiency and green heating at head offices and depots

18 March 2024 (UK)

Heat pumps, LED lights, and solar panels will be installed by Transport for London, reducing the need for gas-powered heating.

Salix, on behalf of the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, administers the Public Sector Decarbonization Scheme (PSDS),
which has granted two grants totaling over £16 million to Transport for London (TfL).

Six locations on TfL's London-wide portfolio will lower their carbon emissions thanks to £14 million subsidy.

The second grant, which is valued at over £2 million, will be used at two London Underground depots for carbon reduction initiatives.
