What could a light rail offer to Belmont? Project leaders looking at options

Charlotte officials who are proposing a 29-station light rail line stretching across Charlotte into Gaston County met with Belmont residents Monday evening to gauge their interests and concerns surrounding the project.
Folks looking to learn more about the proposed LYNX Silver Line reported to the parking lot of The Pointe Church along Wilkinson Boulevard, where stations of poster boards and banners – detailing the hopes, concepts and other potentials of the mammoth-sized public transit initiative – were located.

The newly opened stations will give direct access to several key attractions in Lusail city including Al Seef area, Crescent Park, the Lusail Boulevard and Al Maha Island.
