The Yanchep Rail Extension Project, which will revolutionise Perth's northern suburbs and provide more than 150,000 inhabitants with transit options within Perth, has now built the first 2.7 km of track.
Almost 14,000 tonnes of ballast and almost 8,000 sleepers have been laid in the Ningana Bushland region to create the first segment of the 14.5 km extension.
The Joondalup Line will be extended from Butler by the Yanchep Rail Extension, which will provide three new stations to Alkimos, Eglinton and Yanchep.
